MOTOCICLON 'Himnos De Extraradio' (LP) 

Motociclón is a band that, esentially mixes, Punk and Heavy Metal. But Punk and Heavy Metal, not  ancient atmosferic gothic goats guts metal, nor  that Punk that when you pronounce it, it dyes your hair and drops your pants.No, Punk and Heavy Metal.

On the other hand, Motociclon doesn´t sing in Spanish. Neither in English, or any other barbaric language. They sing in the slang they use in their neighbourhood, that nobody knows what the fuck it is. They talk about their  slum, and it´s not any slum. It´s a suburb

punished with the dismantling of  industry , the abuse of heroin , the street gangs,  and the early morning tv shows….It´s the kind of  slum that forges real men, with strong values. As you can listen in“Bocachanclas”  they sing to that treacherous coward, son of a nun. “Policia del Rock” “ Rock police” to those , knowitall, academician  crossover sellouts of popular culture.

In their hood you are a man or a pussy, you speak hiting your bare chest with an open hand. God damned! And if you don´t you get slashed with a Flyinhg V.

If you want to be sybaritic,  Motociclón reminds us of Motorhead, the Plasmatics or a lot of spanish underground bands from the 80´s. The thing is they add a very special touch of the New wave of British Heavy Metal, Brought to you troguh the fingers of Thrash, that unique lead guitar, with riffs and solos not in the hand of many guitar players in this country. And there is a lot of them! On the other side, the rythmic section, fine thank u! Ramón and Dani sound like a Comanche tribe surrounding the stage, they´ve been around druming and slapimg the Bass in  ten thousand different bands, playing forty thousand different styles. And they understand completely the concept of drumming.

And on top of this beautiful Christmas Post Card, Robertez, the singer, an ugly screaming brawling outcast no name bastard,  the opposite to a citizen with  french passport.

“Himnos de Extrarradio” or “Anthems for the Slums” , is what it is, songs to bear inside, songs to sing when the sun lightens up  all the dunghills and dumps, proud to be a rake.
