STREETWALKIN' CHEETAHS 'Waiting For The Death Of My Generation' (CD)

The record features the band's patented mix of driving Detroit-style hard rock and power pop. Yes, known for being equally adept at ear-catching power pop songs and speaker-wrecking high-energy hard punk rock, The Cheetahs deliver equal helpings of both on this new album "WAITING FOR THE DEAD OF MY GENERATION". Producer Brian Kehew (Muffs, Dickies, Air, Mother Superior) adds the necessary production value to make it sparkle just enough. The dual guitar firepower for which the Cheetahs are known is augmented by a sitar (!) on "No More", and a full horn section on The Saints´ cover "Know Your Product" and the garage/reggae mindbender "Dirty Mockingbird". Former Bell-Rays guitarist and songwritter Tony Fate contributes "Mamma Train" especially for this album, and sits in on guitar too. "Automatic" and "In My Head" seem like obvious choices for airplay, while "Right to Rock" and "Why You Gotta Come First" remind us that it is more-or-less impossible to out-rock the Street Walkin´ Cheetahs!
