After a period of silence a couple of years ago due to internal affairs of the band, some of it's former members (Gorka and Roper), , decided to re-form the group withe renewed energy and more ambitious projects, encouraged by Ken Steedman (Celibate Rifles, ex-Deniz Tek Band, ex-New Christs, Yage...), who intends to collaborate with the band in future recordings, as a proper member and song writer! Ever since, LA SECTA has been working a lot, preparing new songs and looking for new musicians that would suit this new project. Until now they have played one gig with the old line-up but bringing up Mick Poole on guitar (from The Panadolls - Australia), to celebrate The Muga's aniversary (one of the hipest rock - bars in Bilbao).

Also, some of it's members have been making special appearences with top bands like Safety Pins (some singles, one LP, a Radio Birdman tribute, a spanish Punk bands compilation), Yage (they recorded 2 tracks for a 7" with the Italo-Australian combo), one song in the last Doctor Deseo's album, Señor No, or making special live appearences with bands like Atom Rhumba or Lovecraft.

This lads are certainly addicted to music, and just can't stop! At the same time, they were preparing themselves to get on studio (Chockablock - Mikel Biffs from Safety Pins studio), with a brand new drummer Ricky (ex Safety Pins and ex Spiders) and Jose on Guitar (Buffalo, ex Salamanders, ex Flechazos...), where they recorded a couple of tracks (one of them included in Munster's tribute to Johnny Thunders "Again... This One's For Johnny", next to heavy weight bands like The ramones, Backyard Babies, Nikki Sudden, Ronnie Spector, Safety Pins...

The other track was also included on a special CD compiling some of the most notorious bands coming out of the Basque Country scene that will soon be released with a fanzine made by one of the coolest rock & roll bars in the area: the legendary Gasteiz in Santutxu. After this first assault, the band's dream line up is now complete with their new sign up on rythm guitar: Ignacio, out of the anphetaminic Zodiacs. The new Sect is now complete and ready to kickass! A new album is also cooking, and very soon you will be able to see them live. Don't miss' em!
