Your krayzee amigos at Electro Harmonix bring you a collection of Spanish rockabilly-latin legends LOS COYOTES early tracks.

"La Estacion Fantasma" compiles the best LOS COYOTES early days. We're talking of Madrid around 1980, the heyday of the world famous "Movida Madrileña", when arts (music, painting, movies, design...) exploded after 40 years of Franco's regime.

For a very short period of time LOS COYOTES were the leading group in Madrid, and all the film makers (Pedro Almodovar for instance), photographers (the great Alberto Garcia Alix, who's now in all modern art museums, was 'bodyguarding' them at their shows.), and musicians of all hip bands were crazy about Los Coyotes adn were members of what was called "la coyotada" (the coyotepack). Los Coyotes, with Víctor Coyote on front, invented the "punkabilly" tag when none else in the world was using it yet.

Rockabilly of course, but also lots of Bo Didley, Link Wray, The Cramps and, what makes it unique, a lot of the Latin Music they were listening to as Spaniards they were! The mix was fantastic, but since they always were way ahead of their time they never went to be the superstars they should have been.

What you can find in this limited edition 10" album are the songs of their first single ("Strange Haircut" from 1982), the songs of their second record ("She's So Weird" from 1983), one song from their "Mujer Sentimiento" LP, a rare B side from a 1985 single, and... BANG!!! two songs previously unreleased from a 1980 demotape!

A piece of history, a great collection of songs, and a true discovery for all Electro Harmonix fans!
